Learner feedback: Coaching and coaches can add an enormous amount of value to organisations and employees, touching every facet of work, behaviour and leadership. Knowing where and how coaching can benefit organisation and employee alike can add significant support to conversations with stakeholders and decision makers when it comes to implementing coaching programmes and coaching. All the learners realized the importance of coaching and the return on investment it has for the organsiation.
The group had a positive attitude towards developing their coaching skills. I could see that they enjoyed the course I enjoyed the learner’s positive participation and the high level of interaction that prevailed throughout the course among me and them, displaying also responsibility towards their own learning and development.
One of the interesting discussion we had in the class was the importance of developing a coaching culture throughout the organsiation. As well as the importance of coaching as a bottom-down approach and not other way around. It was also argued that coaching is action based and results focused. Action speaks louder than words! Tolerations are addressed, goals set and action plans created, all of which empower and motivate employees to move forward with a clear vision of the end in mind.
